ZA NiC was created to provide freedomain registration under ZA.NET and ZA.ORG to companies,not-for-profit organisations or private users who cannot afford thefees demanded by some domain name registrars or believe that domainnames should be a freely available resource for everyone.

申请之前要做好准备工作：

一、南非人资料：
    据说目前申请南非za.net和za.org域名，需要用South Africa（南非）人的地址资料注册，寻找南非人资料的秘技：
    先用 za.net 到 Google 上搜索，然后用搜索到的 za.net 2级域名到：http://www.za.net/whois.html WHOIS下，您就会查看到己注册好的 za.net 域名注册资料，然后将域名注册资料复制下来，申请注册时最好不要原样照抄，稍微修改一下通过的概率会更大。

二、域名DNS解析：
    注册 za.net 和 za.org 域名之前要先做好DNS和A记录，申请时必须要以南非人的名义申请，否则不会通过，申请完成后一般要等1个礼拜左右等待审批，审批通过就可以使用了。
    NS最好用mydomain和powerdns，用powerdns注册一般会很顺利，如果用了南非人资料注册不顺利，总是在NS上卡住，需要碰运气。
    注册ZA最大的问题就是遇到DNS报错，这不是您的DNS真的有错，而是官方故意搞的鬼，可能是官方不想被搞的太多了，所以能不能通过完全靠运气。有时候能通过，大部分时候通不过，直到现在也没找到开放注册时间的规律。如果您收到DNS报错的回信不必去理会，只要重复发EMAIL，或换个时间再发，直到通过为止。
    注册信发出后会马上收到第1封回信，这封信是机器审核的，马上就能收到。
    第1封信通过，域名就能试用了，第2封是人工审核的，每过一段时间审核一次，第1封回信如能通过，快则几分钟，慢则几个星期会收到第2封回信，会通知您注册通过与否的最终结果。
